Breaking Ground.....

A number of years ago the tide of the social media ocean rose enough to get my toes wet as I sat on the beach flipping through a book we call "Life". Thank goodness for the creations we make and how we have always been intertwined. As mainly an observer for the past 4 years I have marveled at the use and abuse of this new communication channel. It has brought forth vast amounts of knowledge and new connections.... many I have never pressed flesh with. It is now time to dive in!

Architecture and Construction of a Portfolio is a chronicle of my thoughts, aspirations, inspirations, family, friends, career, personal/physical/spiritual development and my failures. I have Michael Bigger @biggercapital to thank for pushing me into the pool. When I read "How Traders Achieve Creative Flow", by Michael I found his concepts to be portable - and valuable to me a trader/investor.

Portfolio:  "a case for carrying loose papers". I chose the title for my blog as I have a life of loose papers, mainly because I have not formally chronicled them or shared them as a whole. "Architecture and Construction" are metaphors for:

  • I have been in and around this industry since I was 8 years old thanks to my Father
  • A life, any life is and should always be "in design" and "construction", and at times "restoration".
Yes, there will be many writings on the financial markets and my activity in and around it but not to the extent is it purpose of this blog. I could write volumes on the recent signing of the NDAA law by President Obama as just an example but will hold off on the political work right now. We have through to November for that. If you want some inside political scoop in D.C, check out this site http://www.inthecapital.com/ . It launches soon but the contributors have some great networks.

With that, my foundation continues to support this life in now a slightly expanded form. Its design is under review henceforth.

What will I build?

What will you build?

Happy New Year!
